The Ottawa Senators traded Curtis Lazar and Mike Kostka on Wednesday afternoon to the Calgary Flames in exchange for Jyrki Jokipakka and a 2017 2nd round pick.
Lazar was selected by Ottawa with the 17th overall pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft and is a pending restricted free agent on July 1st. The 22-year-old forward had one assist in 33 games played with the Senators this season.
In 176 regular season games in Ottawa, Lazar compiled 12-24-36 totals prior to being traded to Calgary.
Kostka is a 31-year-old defenseman who appeared in 15 games with the Senators last season and has yet to play in a NHL game this season. In 46 games with the AHL’s Binghamton Senators this season, Kostka notched 1-11-12 totals.
The veteran defenseman has four goals and 17 assists in 85 career NHL games with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Chicago Blackhawks, Tampa Bay Lightning, New York Rangers and Senators. Kostka is a pending unrestricted free agent in July.
Jokipakka has one goal and five assists in 38 games this season with the Flames. The 25-year-old defenseman has 3-25-28 totals and 34 penalty minutes in 147 career NHL games with the Dallas Stars and Flames. Dallas originally selected him 195th overall at the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
The native of Tampere, Finland appeared in two of three games for Finland at the 2016 World Cup of Hockey and is a pending restricted free agent this July.
Parenteau, 33, was previously claimed on waivers by New Jersey from the New York Islanders in October and can become an unrestricted free agent on July 1st.
Through 59 games this season, he had 13-14-27 totals with New Jersey. Parenteau was originally drafted by the Anaheim Ducks in the ninth round (264th overall) of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
Quincey has 34-118-152 totals in 548 career NHL games among the Los Angeles Kings, Colorado Avalanche, Detroit Red Wings and Devils. This season alone, the 6’2″, 216-pound native of Kitchener, Ontario has four goals and eight assists in 53 games with New Jersey.

Martinsen, 26, had three goals and four assists for Colorado in 55 games this season. A native of Norway, Martinsen has played in 110 NHL games with 7-11-18 career totals. He is a pending unrestricted free agent in July.
Beck, 25, is the 70th overall product of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft selected by the Nashville Predators and is a pending restricted free agent in July. In 90 career NHL games, Beck has recorded 23 points (11 goals, 12 assists).
Fontaine, 29, was undrafted and will be a pending unrestricted free agent in July. After breaking into the NHL during the 2013-2014 season with the Minnesota Wild, Fontaine has recorded 27-41-68 totals in 197 games played.
McKenna was the 172nd overall selection at the 2002 NHL Entry Draft by the Nashville Predators and is a pending unrestricted free agent at season’s end. The 33-year-old goalie has appeared in 22 career NHL games since the 2008-2009 season, including a career high 15 games that year with the Lightning.
Wilcox was the 178th overall selection at the 2011 NHL Entry Draft by Tampa Bay and is a pending restricted free agent this July. The 24-year-old goalie has yet to make his NHL debut and has appeared in 36 games with the AHL’s Syracuse Crunch since 2015-2016.
Iginla is in the final year of a three-year contract worth $5.333 million AAV and is a pending unrestricted free agent. The veteran right winger had 8-10-18 totals in 61 games this season with Colorado and is third among active NHL players in points behind
McIlrath appeared in six games this season between the New York Rangers and Panthers. In 43 career NHL games, the 24-year-old defenseman has 3-2-5 totals and 94 PIM.

Goldobin was the 27th overall pick in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft by San Jose and played in two games this season with the Sharks. Since the 2014 draft, Goldobin has appeared in 11 career NHL games for San Jose, amassing 1-1-2 totals.
